Ron Schwerin

Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Ron Schwerin received his BFA from the Pratt Institute.  He has taught there and at the University of Rhode Island and the New York Institute of Technology.  In addition to teaching and painting, Schwerin worked as a freelance photographer for 20 years, until 1988.  His contemporary realist paintings include still-life, figurative and portrait work.
