Cassandra Gillens
A
self-taught artist living in Beaufort, SC, Cassandra Gillens was
born in Boston where she began drawing with colored chalk at an
early age. Gillens’ fondest memories of her visits to South
Carolina moved her to paint visions of the Low Country, which
have become her theme since living there. She is a member of
the Beaufort Arts Association and her art is shown in galleries
throughout the southeast, and in the F. G. Burroughs and S.B.
Chapin Museum in Myrtle Beach, SC and at the Medical University
of South Carolina Ashley River Tower Hospital. Gillens’ work
has been featured in United Airlines’ in-flight magazine, and
her participation in the PICCOLO SPOLETO Art Exhibit was a
sellout.
